Madaba & Mount Nebo – Mosaic City & Pilgrimage Land

Madaba, the City of Mosaics, is renowned for its stunning Byzantine and Umayyad mosaics, the most famous being the 6th-century Madaba Map, the oldest surviving mosaic map of the Holy Land. Madaba’s Christian heritage is still alive today, with churches and monasteries dotting the city. Nearby, Mount Nebo is a sacred site where, according to tradition, Moses gazed upon the Promised Land before his death.
